Safety guide
Video download safety, copyright, and permissions
The safest rule is simple: download videos only when you created them, own them, licensed them, or have explicit permission from the rights holder.
Green-light examples
Your own raw footage, your brand's uploaded videos, client-approved assets, public-domain videos, licensed stock footage, and direct files shared by a teammate are generally appropriate uses.
Red-light examples
Do not download copyrighted shows, music videos, creator posts, private clips, paywalled videos, or platform-protected content without permission.
Why this matters
A trustworthy downloader needs to protect users, rights holders, advertisers, and the site owner. Clear limits make the tool more durable than short-term traffic tricks.
